Job Title - Talent & Development Partner
Contract Type – Permanent, Part-Time for 3 days per week (hours can be spread over 4/5 days if preferred
Salary - £36,000-£42,000 (full-time equivalent would equate to £60-70k per annum)
Location – City of London + home working (there is a need to have a presence in the office but there is flexibility here)
The Talent Management and Development Partner is responsible for identifying and driving talent management, leadership, learning and culture efforts for our well-known financial services client. They will also lead the implementation of regional and global initiatives within the business and lead specific regional projects as required. This newly created position is a job share (3 days per week – hours can be spread over 4-5 days if preferred) with the current Talent Management and Development Partner working in the business.
Key Responsibilities: Develop/Deliver Talent Management & Development Strategy
- Working closely with senior management, Regional Head of HR and HRBP’s, identify talent management and development priorities (aligned with regional and global talent management/HR priorities)
- Partnering with HRBP’s, work to embed and promote strategy within the businesses
- Proactively build strong, credible relationships with key stakeholders including business leaders, line managers and HRBP’s
- Support consolidation of annual budget process, working closely with Finance and HRBP’s
- Provide regular budget reporting and analysis to key business stakeholders
- Support the development of methods and tools to measure talent management and development impact and effectiveness across the organization
Talent Management
- Partnering with HRBP’s, plan and deliver talent review and succession planning sessions
- Identify talent pools, ensuring a strong pipeline of successors across the business
- Ensure required capabilities are met in the short, medium and long term, considering future talent requirements and business aligned strategic ambitions
- Working with Talent Acquisition, partner on internal transfers within the organisation and identify candidates for initiatives
- Promote and identify candidates for existing global talent acceleration programmes
Leadership and Learning
- Promote and embed regional and global initiatives i.e. Continuous Conversations, regional curriculum
- Design/deliver specific identified leadership and learning initiatives (using external providers as appropriate)
- Facilitate as required internal initiatives i.e. offsites, 360-degree feedback
- Cross train HRBP’s to support partnership on delivery of key initiatives
- Act as an internal coach and consultant for leaders and managers where required
Learning/Talent Management System
- Work with regional counterparts to embed upcoming systems i.e. Linked in Learning
- Identify ways to promote within the business, analysing usage and providing analysis
Thought Leadership
- Investigate and share best practice and thought leadership with business and regional counterparts
- Develop relationships with key external forums to promote initiatives and share best practice
Regional/Global Projects
- Collaborate with regional and global counterparts on regional/global Projects as required
Who are we looking for?
Relationship building with very senior and naturally inquisitive stakeholders is a core component of this role. You need to be able to provide innovative ideas and challenge those at board level.
You do not need to have experience of financial services as industry experience is not essential but perhaps some exposure to other relevant industries such as professional services would be advantageous as you will adapt more readily to the business culture.
We are looking for people that have genuinely strong talent management experience that is not purely limited to L&D and you will have a strong strategic and commercial focus. We are looking for strong intellectual agility with the ability to push back. You will bring strong and credible ideas to the business and should have worked in a large and complex organisation previously. We are looking for diversity of thought, a detail focused and conscientious approach.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Talent Management and Development & HR
- CIPD qualified (desirable)
- Qualified in psychometric tools i.e. Hogan, Insights, MBTI (desirable)
- Coaching qualification (desirable)
- Experience of delivering 360 feedback (desirable)
