What can we tell you about this special business?

Our client is backed by top VCs. It is rapidly growing and a great place for those looking for both impact and a fast-paced tech start-up environment.

Launched in 2019, the business is tapping into a transformative shift in global finance: from banks to phones. While this has affected wealthier countries as well, it has been nothing short of a revolution for the emerging markets where the overwhelming majority of population had been unable to access digital finance previously.

What will be keeping you busy?

You’ll be Head of People, playing an integral part of the business by ensuring you will provide amazing support and direction to employees, who are located all over the world but with hubs in Europe, North America and the UAE  We’re looking for someone who’s scaled and managed a People Operations function within a fast-growing start-up and has experience leading people ops across different countries.  You’re passionate about running a tight ship, excited by rapid growth and the challenges this brings, and willing to execute tasks as well as to lead. You will be someone who rolls their sleeves up and is a good executor and communicator. We are looking for someone that wants to grow and lead their own HR function.

Responsibilities:

Leading and managing the People team

Ensuring high-quality delivery of People services, including employee contracting, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, relocation, visas, L&D, performance management, disciplinary matters, their HRIS, etc.

Leading the set-up of People Ops services in new countries

Overseeing the running of their office spaces, including the re-opening of offices post-covid

Working with the legal team to ensure everything they do, from policies to offboarding, is legally compliant

Working to ensure that the team members journey through onboarding and offboarding is consistent and aligned to the values of the company, serving as a point of escalation as needed

Leading and executing on People projects - recent rollout of HRIS, improving and expanding the employee handbook

Does this sound like you?

Have experience leading and building a best-in-class people team in a growth-stage start-up

Love the growth stage of working in a start-up and know the growing pains that come with it

Have People Operations experience covering many countries + ideally you’ve led the expansion of People services into new countries

Are super organized and able to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities at once

Enjoy developing systems and processes

Are willing to get your hands dirty - the team is small, and you’ll need to be willing to execute tasks as well as to lead

Are fluent in English. Bonus points if you’re fluent in French

Benefits (UK)-Specifics depend on geography!
